The Guild Bank
| 04 November 2009
The guild bank is a wonderful addition to any guild. It has materials, gear and other items of fascination that can cost an individual a lot of money and time if they had to get it themselves. People who donate to the bank are often rewarded themselves later on or, in most cases, in ways they don't see coming. The Soldiers of Fate guild bank is a very unique system and works quite simply.
If you take something, you give something else back in return.
These items don't have to be worth the same or anything, anything you give back will be put to use.
To help you further understand the basics of this bank and to help you familiarize with the back-end of it, we have compiled the following guide for you. Please take your time to view each one.
- Deposit Tab (Tab 1)
-
Depositing is a basic function that we have available to all players! This tab is the heart of many functions the GB has. It is a place for us to sort the "Unnecessary" and the "Later Use". It is also the place where you can deposit ANY items you wish to donate. Be aware that every item that goes into the deposit tab is subject to be sold for gold, sorted for use, or just flat out destroyed for enchanting mats. If you can, in any way help simplify that and keep the tab clear, it would be a better idea. :) Also, make sure you right-click any item you deposit to ensure the tab remains orderly.
Deposits are usually sorted by the following: Greys/store items, might be useful, will be useful based on withdraws, are useful somewhere, or are completely useless. It's a rather simple, but it works. Extreme overflow items (3 or more of an item) get sent elsewhere. We recommend that you do not donate over 2 (2 stacks, if stackable) of any item as they would probably do you better use in the AH or elsewhere. - Gear (Tabs 2 and 3)
-
The gear tabs are labeled in a way that will help you out in the harder places to get gear.
50 through 70 houses gear for those levels and, sometimes, potions and other trinkets. 70 through 80 houses, often times, more gear. Both of these tabs may be used for disenchanting.
Please don't overdraw and use ALL of it for your enchanting needs as some one else might find something useful in there. We also ask that you do not withdraw any item for selling on the AH or giving it to your alts. These items are for the people in the guild ONLY. Actions will be taken if we see this happening.
- Miscellaneous (Tabs 4 and 5)
-
These tabs are filled with cooked food, items to help you learn skills for your trades (recipes and items to skill up with), and other things. These items are give and take, just like everything else in the bank.Sometimes, there are more expensive materials in there. Make sure you are giving back to the bank if you take these rare, expensive items out as it is uncommon they will be donated again. These tabs are often times excluded from the 2 stack/item limit found in the other tabs.
- Raiding Supplies (Tab 6)
-
Currently, only a select few people can see this tab. It holds important things for our raids and for other things. We have high level enchanting mats for hard to come by enchants, flasks, fish feasts and some other items for guild use. If you require something, please ask an officer to withdraw it for you, either in a whisper, in chat, or via in-game mail. If you are a certain rank, you will be able to withdraw these items yourself.
The bank also does this for you:
- stores guild event items
- ensures that certain items are restocked frequently
- provides gold for a one-time Mount Fund withdraw that can be up to 1k gold!
If you want more withdraws or a higher amount of gold from the Mount Fund, you'll have to rank up!
