General Raid Rules

Attendance and Requirements
Sign up for the raids on the guild’s website’s Raid Calendar.
This lets us know ahead of time who is coming, and allows us to plan ahead in case we have certain slots to fill. At the same time, if you are part of the guild’s main raiding core and are expected at the raid, it helps to mark yourself as “Not
Available” on the Calendar. Also, mark yourself as “Available”, NOT “confirmed”; confirming you as taking part in the raid is the raid leader’s decision.
If you need help using the Raid Calendar click here for the How-to video!
Absences
Not showing up to a raid without any prior notice to the raid leader is considered an absence. You get two excused absences.
If you give prior notice to the raid leader that you're not going to be able to make it, thats cool, we appreciate that. However, if you don't say a word, it will be counted against you.
Attendance Rewards
Every 4 raid sessions you sign-up for and attend, you get a SK Freeze for one item. What this means, is that if you take an item you don't suicide in the list, you stay were you are. These freezes are not guild wide, they are raid leader specific.
Make sure you are not already saved to the instance you are signing up for.
Once you enter a raid instance with a killed boss or you kill a boss, you will be saved to that instance and will be unable to join another raid. (Almost all raids reset on Tuesday. Check your in-game calendar to see when/if any specific instances are unlocking.)
Come prepared.
You are expected to bring flasks, potions, and food to the raid (feasts are usually provided, however in case of one or two people needing a well fed buff, it is more practical to use a single food rather than an entire feast.)
You are expected to have and use the following add-ons and programs:
- Ventrilo (Voice chat. Greatly simplifies explaining fights, and communication in general. It’s okay if you don’t have a microphone, just be sure to listen in.)
- Deadly Boss Mods (An add-on that displays vital raid and boss-encounter specific events)
- Threat meter (Any sort of add-on that will display threat on your targets; Omen Threat Meter 2 and Recount are good examples.)
Raid Rules
The raid leader decides where to go.
The raid members have input, but the raid leader has the final decision. Unless asked specifically to state (for example) which wing of Naxxramas you want to do next, whisper the raid leader your request.
Keep moving.
Keep your mana up and always be ready for the next fight. If a boss is killed, continue to the next; the only person that needs to stay with the boss is the master looter.
If you have an issue with the raid’s strategy, keep it in whisper.
There is nothing more confusing for the entire raid than somebody explaining the fight and strategy, then somebody else throwing their own in. There are usually several ways to do a boss fight. If you KNOW a flaw is in the described strategy, whisper the raid leader or raid assist.
Keep /raid clear.
Especially after a boss kill. Master looter will post the dropped items and will manage rolls, anything else will merely clog up the chat. If you need to weight stats or ask advice about an upgrade concerning the particular item, do so, otherwise keep chat clear for the master looter and loot rolls.
