The Pulse: Are We Progressing?
| 23 February 2010
Welcome guys! To the first edition of The Pulse. This is a weekly update on how our guild raids are doing and some short highlights/updates on the stuff that matters to you.
With that said and done, we have a lot to talk about. ICC run went well (they wiped a lot) but we'll see why, in my opinion, it was a success. There is the big pressing question I've been asked by a couple people of "are we progressing" that I'll attempt to answer and we are proud to welcome Shadows of the Alliance to our raids and our website!
All of that goodness and more guys, so click the read more button below and enjoy.
BONE STORM!
So, our ICC 10 man group got /facerolled on Sunday by the big and nasty in the above picture.
A lot of people were upset, I got several whispers asking (demanding rather) that we raise repair bill prices for the guild and that maybe we're just not ready for ICC 10.
My response to that is, dood, seriously? Come on! Its ICC dammit! If it was meant to be easy, it would be Kara, not the end-game raiding instance of Wrath of the Lich King. I know people are bummed on not downing the first boss the first time in, but guys, buck up. That guy is the first test of the raid group, just like Curator was the first real test in Kara or Patchwerk was the first real heals/dps/tank test in Nax.
Marrowgar is there to protect the Frozen Throne and if you think hes just going let you stroll in and /faceroll him, you got another thing coming.
With that aside, I think you guys did just fine. Its a hard fight and once you get it down you do, actually, go in every week and pretty much /faceroll him. Marrowgar is just a raid test of coordination. From what I heard, you were pushing the numbers you were supposed to be pushing and the healers were doing fine. My suggestion is to watch the fight and discuss it a bit on the forums. Beyond that, buck up, keep moving on and you'll get him next week.
On the note of repair bills. For now, you're stuck with what we give you, hippies. We're in the process of fixing stoof guild wide, the repair bill is on our to-do list, for now, come on. Every raid is going to have a repair bill when learning new stuff. Its like riding a bike, that's why we wear helmets. If we were expected to ride the bike perfectly, we would have the helmets made of glass and it would cover our face with spikes. Its not like that would be dangerous, since you wouldn't fall off anyways, right?
More Raid Days?
We're looking to add more raid days guys, but we need your feedback
Sign-up for the 25man, Dammit!
Seriously! Show Reavear some love! Sign-up here, now, for his 25man. Whispering Shadows likes Reavear, they're going to sign-up for his 25man, I guess you just don't love him as much as they do o_o
...*shakes head* Should all be ashamed of yourself, all make me sick o.o
Just kidding, you don't make me sick, just slightly nauseous.
To Progress or Not Progress, Thats the Question

You tell me. Progression isn't a black/white term. Guildox judges progression on how many achievements have been accumulated by your guild and when they were obtained on. Wowjutsu judges guild progress according to overall gearscore.
So, if you're asking if we're progressing, dood, yes, we are. We're getting some wicked achievements every, single, week. Yes, they're older instances, but because we've been grinding old instances we've formed a cohesive raid group that is now hitting ICC and 25mans. So, coming from like, no raids, to having a plethora of them is what I would call niceeeeee progression.
:)
Suicide Kings
I am going to be making some modifications to my SK rules for my run. See my raid group page to see whats going to be up, nothing serious, just minor stuff.
